Radio-Frequencies
An introduction to Radio-Frequencies.
These are some important facts that will help you learn more
about the rc transmitter.
* The transmitter is used by the pilot to fly and control a model airplane. It transmits a signal
through the air. It also consist of a built-in rechargable
battery.
* The reciever in the airplane picks
up the transmitter signal, interprets it, and triggers the actions of the servos.
* The servos are compact electric
motors mounted in your airplane that move the control surface
on the model. Each control surface has one servo.
The servos are controlled from the receiver and move in the
direction via the transmitter.
* The on-board flight battery provides power to the receiver and servos. The battery is a nickel-cadmium(nicads), they are used by many rc pilots, (myself) included.
------For SAFETY----PLEASE READ----------------------------------
NO two airplanes can fly on the same frequency at the same
time. Because the signals would interfere with the other, causing
a possible crash. Only one aircraft can be flown on a frequency
at a time.
In order to fly multiple airplanes, they must be on different frequencies to operate safely.
Always CHECK the frequency flight board, to see if your channel is available, before switching on your transmitter.
